Verified by us: What an experience! We were blown away by the Three Bridges Blast speed boat trip. Our guides were fun, knowledgeable, and well trained to assist where needed.

Enjoy the thrill of a wheelchair accessible boat trip – you can even drive the boat yourself! Wetwheels experience is truly unique and designed to enable every disabled person the chance to experience the thrill of powerboating not just by being a passenger but also to take the helm as the skipper as everybody gets the chance to drive! Another key point is active participation – helping to broaden aspirations, increase confidence and directly impact on health and wellbeing.

A Wetwheels experience challenges self-perceptions, extends horizons and opens up new opportunities. Therefore, we ensure full wheelchair access to the boat – including a ramp to the steering position and adapted steering controls. Above all, everyone is an active participant rather than simply a passenger, with the opportunity to steer the vessel and learn seamanship alongside peers, friends and family.

Our wheelchair accessible boat trips and experiences are scheduled from our main base in Port Edgar, and these can all be tailored to suit each individual and group. Presently, these experiences could include viewing the majestic UNESCO registered Forth Rail Bridge from the sea, meeting the seals and puffins on the local islands, or seeing the Naval Dockyard of Rosyth where the new aircraft carriers were constructed.

A wee note from Accessible Holidays Scotland: Verification was provided by a manual wheelchair user. The Wetwheels team gave me some assistance to navigate the jetty, and their professionalism impressed me. You can read about my experience, and watch the video here.
