Verified by us: We loved the WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre. It’s a family-friendly, free activity that everyone can enjoy. We were particularly impressed by the cameras inside the centre that you can control easily from a wheelchair to explore the bay! Don’t forget to grab a cuppa and a bite to eat at the cafe.

Visit the WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre for the chance to see the amazing bottlenose dolphins of the Moray Firth. Enjoy beautiful walks along the tumultuous River Spey, spot a seal or osprey, and discover Spey Bay’s fishing heritage during a tour of the historic Tugnet Icehouse. Entry to the Centre is FREE.

Visit our small exhibition to learn more about the local bottlenose dolphins, and browse our lovely gift shop. You can enjoy delicious home-cooked food in our cafe, we offer table service and a range of gluten free and vegan options.

The centre buildings are accessible by wheelchair and there is a disabled toilet. The shingle beach is not accessible to wheelchair users or those with low mobility, but a small grassy hill can give a vantage point to look out to sea. Alternatively, you can control cameras inside the centre for a better look.

How to Book

There’s no need to book a visit to the dolphin centre, but if you have any questions or are interested in an Ice House tour, just press Reply To Listing to enquire. There are no booking fees or hidden costs for enquiring through Accessible Holidays Scotland, but it does contribute to the success of the site – thank you for helping us continue building this resource. You can also log in or create an account to add this listing to your favourites!

A wee note from Accessible Holidays Scotland: The verification visit for WDC Scottish Dolphin Centre was completed by a manual wheelchair user. Sadly we didn’t get to visit the Tugnet Icehouse (we will go back!) but tours are accessible for wheelchair users. The carpark is a bit gravelly but otherwise it’s easy to get around, and new automatic doors are being fitted later this year to make your visit even easier!
